Always Tasty Never Stale

Take a Peek Into My World

>> October 11, 2014

Michelangelo, Picaso, Warhol, Banksy, Van Gogh (apparently pronounced Van Ggffoocchhhhfff, or you can just cough after you say "Van" no one notices), Rembrandt, Renoir. Renaissance, Modernism, Neoclassicism (which is why I think WW1 happened), Realism, Impressionism, Symbolism, Neo-impressionism (the catalyst for WW2 I'm pretty sure), Cubism.

That's a lot of words that you may know or they could just be complete gibberish out of context. As I move and learn through this art world I hope to pass on the things I am told and taught for the rest of us schlubs. You know, those of us with little money, limited free time, and who tend to spend their weekends in a plastic pool in the backyard, not the south of France.

I love art but there is a small problem, I don't know much about it other than it can be expensive and colors are pretty (I did once get drunk and take a painting lesson). I will do what you may be scared or frankly too busy to do, talk to actual artist and those "art snobs" downtown. I want to learn and share that with you. I attended an art opening (or exhibit) last night and have shared some details in the next post, so if you want to laugh at me you could peruse that.

I can't tell you where this will go, I may get bored in three weeks or this may be a journey of a lifetime. Please feel free to read and comment and let me know what a pool fool can learn in this crazy art world.
